Centralia XC competed this afternoon at River Ridge HS in a dual meet against RR over their 3.1 mile course. Tiger runners won both sides of the meet. Boys won 19 to 38 and the girls won against an incomplete RR team. The leaders for the Tigers, Tim Riker, Cory Richardson, and Carry Larsen ran strong races today. But the exciting performances came from Nathan Nokes who PRd by over a minute and placed 3rd in the boys race just 6 seconds behind teammate Cory Richardson. It was really great to see Nathan step up and run so well. And on the Girls side Brianna Cowin placed 2nd for the girls taking about a minute off her season best time. It is always nice to see big drops down in time at this point in the season because we are still training hard and to see such big improvements on tired legs. It is encouraging for later in the season when we do cut back and rest the times should drop even more.
